First Year Artifact - ETEC 613 Instructional Design Project
Project Detail and Reflection
This final class project was a group project to apply ADDIE model to create an instructional design module. We submitted several items for this project: a content analysis report, a module prototype, and a final oral presentation. The members of the team were Kasey Fernandez, Marie Sacks, Marisa Yamada, and myself. We called ourselves the Flexigirls since we were flexible in topics and interests for the project. After many initial discussions, our group decided to work on a project aim to help high school teachers determine which video would be appropriate for sharing in a class. I learned that instructional design is a systematic and complex process that is critical to establish a successful instructional module. My team worked very well together and really complemented each other with our set of skills. We met through Skype and collaborate using Google Docs and e-mail. Marie and I worked on the hierarchy chart and content analysis while Kasey and Marisa worked on the module prototype. All of us contributed to putting together the final presentation. Marisa is the graphic design guru behind the amazing Victorian images for the module prototype and the presentation. Peer feedback was critical in helping us tailor the initial hierarchy chart to pinpoint the mastery level needed as well as to fine-tune our content analysis paper and the module prototype. I've included here the three deliverables we submitted for the project. |
